Women’s Ministries meet at various times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually a dinner together or a luncheon. We pray together and share a devotional.
The Ladies of BNAZ can also get involved through the Social Committee. The Social Committee coordinates special dinners such as: Grandparents Days Lunch, and Harvest Dinner at Thanksgiving. One can help cook, bring their favorite dish, or help with setup, serving, and cleanup.
Secret Sisters is a program where we each secretly draw names of someone and remember them throughout the year. We pray for and encourage each other. Gifts or cards for them can be dropped off in the sanctuary lobby. Its fun to be remember by your secret sister on special occasions or just anytime as a surprise. Each January we reveal secret sisters and draw for a new one.
Women’s ministries also help in conjunction with Nazarene Missionary International in preparing crisis care kits, which are used for disaster areas. Crisis Care Kits consist of shampoo, bath size bars of soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, band-aids, fingernail clippers, hair comb, hand towels, Kleenex, and a Beanie Baby sized stuffed toy. Nazarenes donated more than 53,000 Crisis Care Kits (CCKs) in 2004! The kits went to Armenia, Iran, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Republic of Georgia, the Ukraine, and the United States. In early 2005, over 16,000 CCKs were sent to the Asia tsunami area. Thousands
also sent to victims of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
